Amino Acid Availability*
Laboratory tested and clinically peer-reviewed: availability of amino acids was measured
after proteolytic incubation using hydrogen–deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS),
tracking how added proteins break down into free amino acids.
In simple terms, a gentle meat tenderizer papain from
papaya is added to the shake and allowed to
incubate for ~45 minutes. During this time, proteins are pre-digested into their building
blocks: amino acids.
The goal is to make those amino acids far more available to the body—moving from a baseline of
20% availability in our tests to 90% after incubation.
